Wairarapa Walking Festival
The first Wairarapa Walking Festival includes nine walks in the Carterton District

All walks are free but registration is essential through the FB Events.
Walks include an evening Urban Art Walk with a local artist, Walk with Wheels (for wheelchairs and buggies), a Rural Dog Walk on private land and paddling along a Streambed Walk.
Stretch your legs up Mt Dick early Sunday morning or explore nature at dusk in the Fensham Reserve with Forest and Bird.
You can listen to kōrero about local Māori history with a Ngāti Kahungunu kaumatua or see Carterton’s Built Heritage on a walk with a representative from Carterton District Historical Society.
