Jumbo Holdsworth & Hooper Loop Trail Race

The Jumbo Holdsworth Trail race is a tough and challenging race that has been on the Wellington regions trail running calendar for over 25 years.

The terrain is steep and unforgiving as you run around one of the most popular tramping routes in the Tararua Forest park, but you are rewarded with gorgeous native forests and spectacular scenery from the tops.

There are three events on the day - all are mountain endurance runs in the Tararua Forest Park, encompassing:

• The Jumbo Holdsworth Circuit - 24km, running anti-clockwise
• The Holdsworth Jumbo Circuit - 24km, running clockwise
• The Hooper Loop - a 12k circuit that takes you to mountain house and back
