Connect with nature

Connecting with nature can be as simple as taking a walk with the whānau, or as easy as signing up to volunteer for conservation projects.

Giving our minds a break and feeling connected to nature can be as simple as stopping to listen to a birdsong or taking a walk with the whānau.

It can also be as simple as giving back – by taking the time to volunteer for conservation events and getting involved by planting and caring for native trees, eradicating pests and weeds, protecting threatened species and helping to make our natural spaces accessible to everyone.

Giving back can make a difference to the health of our environment and the health and wellbeing of our family, friends and whānau.
